Office of Public Health Practice
The Office of Public Health Practice promotes excellence in practice-based education, research, and experiences, in support of the USC Arnold School of Public Health’s vision of "Improving people's health, statewide and worldwide."
The OPHP provides staff and support to the
SC Public Health Consortium, a partnership of the Arnold School of Public Health and the SC Department of Environmental Control (DHEC).
Programs:
- Continuing Education & Academic Programs
- Student Placement: The OPHP is developing an interactive
internet portal to match students with practice sites
- Public
Health Practice Postgraduate Program: A unique program that
provides fellows with the opportunity to strengthen their
professional academic public health practice identity and skills
with emphasis in evaluation and epidemiology. Fellows work
within the state health department and with Arnold School
faculty members who provide scholarship mentoring
- Joint Research Agenda: Implementing the first joint research
agenda between the Arnold School and DHEC
- Academic/Practice Appointments (Adjunct Faculty Appointments;
Joint Appointments): Finalizing the Arnold School Adjunct
